Dr. Deepa Vyas, or as she prefers to be called Dr. Deepa, is originally from Texas, but her family and husband’s career brought her to Colorado. She graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Biochemistry. She then served in the national service program AmeriCorps, which is where she met her husband Brandon. When her national service ended, she moved to the east coast and attended the prestigious Boston University School of Dental Medicine. After graduating valedictorian of her class, she was immediately admitted to an orthodontic residency at West Virginia University where she received a Master’s in Orthodontics.
Dr. Deepa enjoys working with patients of all ages and is well versed in treating patients with interdisciplinary, orthognathic, phase I, phase II, as well as limited and adult treatment needs.
Dr. Deepa is Board Certified and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. Her research has been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
She has completed research on the effects of obstructive sleep apnea and she continues to consider the effects of this syndrome when making the best treatment decision for her patients.
Dr. Deepa and her husband enjoy spending time with their girls, Karina and Emmy and their two rescue beagles Teddy and Franklin. She also enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, and traveling with her family.
Amy
Chair Side Assistant
Amy is a Colorado native and went to school at Northglenn High. Amy and her husband Aaron have two beautiful daughters, Aleya and Ava. They also have a Cairn terrier named Brodie that completes their family. As a family they enjoy camping and other outdoor activities, spending time with friends and family, reading and traveling. Amy has been in the field of orthodontics since 1994 and is very excited to be part of Dr. Vyas practice. She loves every aspect of orthodontics and enjoys helping patients achieve their beautiful smile!
Danielle
Chair Side Assistant
Danielle is a Colorado native and has been in the dental field since 2011. She chose the orthodontic field because she enjoys seeing the transformation not only in one’s smile but also in one’s self-confidence. While not at work, Danielle enjoys her free time with her little boy Sebastian. She enjoys hiking, playing outside, and spending time with family.
Kim
Chair Side Assistant
Kim is the newest full-time assistant at Vyas Orthodontics. She completed her training in 2015 and immediately started her career in orthodontics. This is her favorite specialty of dentistry to work in because she has the ability to build strong personal relationships with her patients and their families. In her free time, Kim enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors. She’s been living in Colorado for 13 years as of Summer 2020; she’s spent her time here enjoying the natural river system, deserts, and mountain range.
Lori
Treatment Coordinator
Lori is the patient and treatment coordinator at Vyas Orthodontics. She moved recently to Colorado from Arkansas where she worked in the dental field for 18 years. Lori truly enjoys caring for others and working with people every day. She is married and has 3 children. When not at work, she enjoys watching her kids in their activities, biking, hiking, and traveling.
Nora
Financial Secretary
Nora has been with the practice for over 30 years. She and her family are longtime residents of the Westminster area and enjoy traveling and camping. In her spare time, Nora loves to read, garden and spend time with her family and friends. Melisa
Scheduling Coordinator
Melisa is the newest member of our team. She brings over 20 years of experience in the Dental Field, all of those in General Dentistry. Melisa is a Colorado native and grew up in Aurora. Melisa and her husband Brian, have 3 beautiful daughters, Corynn, Ashley and Sidney. Melisa and Brian spend most of their time watching their girls play competitive soccer. They also enjoy camping and jet skiing.
